Darrell started roasting coffee in nineteen ninety-something, and since those early days in Whitefish Montana a lot has changed. One thing that hasn’t is the love for freshness & the joy of roasting! Our 20 pound  fluidbed roaster is the literal heartbeat of our business, churning out bold & beautiful roasts every day. Since those early years, Darrell has passed the art of coffee roasting down to his son, Ethan (as we like to call them, the dynamic duo) and these boys know coffee!

The fluid-bed process uses hot air instead of direct heat contact, this creates a pop-corn popper effect that evenly roasts each bean. This ensures the rich flavor profile we all know & love. It also allows the roaster to have more control over each roast, a delicate balance but man is it worth it.

Our Roasting Process

All of  our beans are certified organic, which is a crazy awesome thing ‘round here! We offer flavored blends, single origins, Swiss water processed decafs, and a myriad of others. Each & every bean comes to us green (who knew coffee beans were green??) and is weighed, roasted, bagged, and sent out by the Bradshaw family at our Werks location in Mount Vernon, MO. Always fresh, always best is what Darrell says, and we stand by that!
